Ranthambore National Park

Renowned by the name of a pictorial fort located inside the reserve, Ranthambore National Park is one of the most popular and the largest national parks in India. Situated at the region where Aravali Range and plateau of the Vindhyas merges, Ranthambore National Park is also touted as the former hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The national park is also one of the most prominent tourist sites in Rajasthan, and thus, receives oodles of wildlife buffs round the year. The city of Sawai Madhopur marks the entrance of the park with a rich biodiversity flourishing around various ancient pilgrimage sites, man-made lakes and aesthetic forts.
